A third generation of Anton’s Cleaners currently operates 43 locations throughout Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. Charles A. Anton, President and CEO, and Arthur C. Anton Jr., Vice President and COO, strive to constantly improve all facets of the business—from dry cleaning excellence, the newest technology, superior customer service, employee morale, to community service efforts.
Anton’s sets the bar high when it comes to quality and is committed to dry cleaning excellence. The mission has remained the same for 100 years: to provide consistent, quality clothing care with a level of service that exceeds customer expectations
Anton’s believes in leveraging its business to support the local communities. Since 1995, the highly successful Coats for Kids program has collected and distributed 985,730 coats free of charge to individuals and families in need. This represents more than $13.5M in donated cleaning costs. Through Belle of the Ball, which was launched in 2005, over 67,170 prom dresses have been collected and cleaned, again without charge, and given to young women in need. This represents nearly $2.4M in donated cleaning costs.
For both programs, Anton’s contribution extends far beyond cleaning costs, coordinating and managing an extensive partnership network to ensure that the programs reach those in need and improve the lives of those in the communities it serves, and beyond. In 2009, Anton’s Cleaners established Caring Partners Inc., a 501c(3) tax-exempt organization, to help support the continued growth of these programs.
Anton’s Cleaners is a family-owned, Massachusetts business that first opened its doors in Lowell in 1913. Today, the third generation carries on the values set forth by previous generations in providing the best service and quality in the dry cleaning industry.
